My boyfriend and I ate here today. The restaurant is right on the coast. The outside suggests fancy and gormet food. We ordered albacore tuna sashimi, red snapper, and the crab Mac and cheese. All of it was incredibly fishy. It tasted like I took a drink of ocean water. We won't be coming back
Best steamer clams I've ever eaten. Great service and view.
What was once our favorite place to eat has now become a complete blind sided rip off! Showed up with family split our bills only to be charged an automatic 18% TIP for service that was mediocre at best! Did she deserve a tip absolutely but between two parties a 25 dollar tip absolutely NOT! Food came out randomly we were left waiting for everyone to get all there food and when we asked for something we had to remind the waitress. The kid mac and cheese was disgusting with an overwhelming flavor of garlic...for kids???? I think not! NEVER AGAIN
Really amazing hospitality. Thank you for a great experience and food!
Crap crap crap and more crap. Went there for a friend's birthday and had terrible service, stale fish, terrible attitude. In fact, when we first arrived the hostess dropped water down my friends backside and not even as much as an apology. .. rather, she was treated as though she were the inconvenience. We spent well over $300.00 and we were treated with disregard. I'm a local and will never ever be back.
Very nice. Came in for a nice valentine's dinner. Loved their menu options and settled for the eel sauce sushi. Awesome! Staff was on their feet and very friendly.
Ate here on Christmas day - one of the only restaurants open - and it was a $23 plate of fried mess, even though the only iten described as fried on the menu was the fish. I certainly didn't expect to see breaded fried scallops (which were so soggy with oil as to render them inedible) or breaded fried shrimp as they weren't listed as such on the menu. My wife's "Panko breaded calamari" looked and tasted like the Kirkland Signature one from Costco . The only seafood that tasted fine was the fried shrimp. I ate only the two shrimp and a handful of french fries.Server was polite and attentive, and of course got a tip, but my family and I will avoid this place in the future. I walked to the "Little Hut" afterwards to get food.
We had a great time here. The Halibut & Chips was the best I have had in a long time. It had a nice lite batter that was not greasy or over done. The fish was fresh, well cooked and tasted great. The atmosphere was very nice and the view was even better. The waitress was attentive and the bread was hot when delivered to the table. Overall an excellent experience and therefore the 5 stars. I also loved the way the manager/owner responded to these reviews. It demostrates a real interest in keeping the restaurant moving on a upward trend.
Man this place is good, fresh food and good customer service.
The service was ok only because the girl waiter was slow & it wasn't busy. But food was yummy. Clam chowder & fish & chips was good!
Our Cajon baked salmon was deliciously most over a tomato/onion base of pasta noodles...you must be very hungry to finish it all.
Awesome Food, Above and Beyond service! Thank you for helping my wife and I celebrate our anniversary, and for treating us with such kindness and generosity. They Gave us chocolate fondue for dessert. We were blown away by you guys. We will stop by every time we're in town. Special thanks to (Crystal and Mo) our waitresses!
The clam chowder was great but they served overpriced, overripe avacado rolls. We sent them back and they sent out more gross avacados, apologetically saying all the avacados are really ripe right now. Maybe take them off the menu or get new ones then? And what's with the tap water in this town? It tastes like chemicals.
Our server, Jacob, took excellent care of us. The sushi was incredible and the price was just right. They don't have AC inside so if it happens to be one of the few hot days of the year, sit outside on the deck.
Great staff! Fresh oysters. Had the linguine with clams and it was very good. 4 stars because the peach cobbler was really bad unfortunately.
Splendid view, friendly service, excellent (sea-)food. I liked.
Good service, good sushi, nice atmosphere, decent prices.
Ordered calamari and chips. It took a long time when they were not busy. The calamari was overcooked and not worth the price. The window seats have great view though.
Anyone who was let down before should try the new and improved menu. I have been to this place throughout the years and must say that the newest changes are proving to be the best yet. The Cajun style options are a nice change to the over saturated basic seafood dishes in the down. Their new chowder is much better than the pasty thick slop they used to serve. The wait time was the only draw back, but the staff were all very kind and helpful.
I have simple needs. Give me a decent salad or protein entree and I'm good. I like their fish taco's. I LOVE the view on their patio watching the sea otters and bay.Service was always excellent. We go to Morro Bay at least once a year and always stop at this spot. Good, solid meals ... nothing fancy but no fancy prices either.
Drinks were nice and strong. And they have absolutely THE BEST clam chowder:)
Excellent views of the bay. Might have best fries on central coast. The food is extremely good.
